The Adamant Job
There are hard jobs- and then there are adamant jobs. Those are the really tough jobs most people don't want to do. Everyone has a bad day at work sometimes. However, there are some people who work in the toughest jobs on a daily basis. They are exposed to mental, emotional, and physical extremes while living out their calling. Mental Health Professionals, Police Officers, Firefighters, EMT's Doctors, Nurses, Missionaries, Pastors, Priests, Special Education professionals, military members, nursing home staff, stay at home parents, and so many others fall under this category. They do the toughest jobs day in and day out. We all have a breaking point. How does one keep faith and joy when exposed to extremes all the time? People who work at the hardest of jobs and careers have moments of doubt, lose their joy, and sometimes forget their way. The Adamant Job: Finding Grace in the Toughest of Jobs helps those people to reexamine their reason for starting that job, finding peace in the storm, keeping hope alive, and maintaining their faith through the toughest of days. A Biblical perspective to having a tough job is explored, and self- advocating prayers are offered.
