Faith is an essential part of life. I incorporate my Christian faith in every area of my life.

There is nothing more important on Earth than family! I am a very proud wife and mother of two teens.

Writing has always been a passion. I believe in the power of the pencil. I said pencil because we are writing the draft of our lives daily. I continue revising and editing my life with God's help and grace.

Teaching has been a calling, and you can read more about how I was called in The Adamant Job: Finding Grace in the Toughest of Jobs. I am a Special Educator, and I am passionate about helping new educators grow, and veteran teachers thrive.

I try to champion two causes: animals and the military. As an animal mom to three dogs, a cat, countless fish and snails; I am passionate about animal causes. They are my muses. My two children and I enjoy volunteering at the local animal shelter. As a retired military spouse, I have a heart for miltary members and their families. My family's time spent serving in the U.S. Air Force has served as a great deal of inspiration for my writing.
